DELTA IS BACK AT #1!!!
In This Life is Deltas 9th #1 single and is so far the fastest selling single of 2007 going Gold in its first week. Timbaland and Matchbox 20 also make debuts on the single charts this week. Sadly Vanessa Amorosi Kiss Ya Mama! has fallen from #15 to #24, OUCH! Her album has apparently been pushed back (more details to come).

Oh, SonyBMG wouldnt be happy! Shannon Nolls latest hasnt got the reception that they wanted. Loud only spend one week in the top 10 before falling 10 places, and now his album Turn It Up has debuted at #3. His last 2 efforts Thats What Im Talking About and Lift both got #1 debuts. #3 is still a good result though and hopefully it will rise with no big albums being released this week. I will post a review on this album later, but i must say its not as good as his previous effort Lift.
Suprise Suprise, James Blunts new album is #1 and Kanye West has lost to 50 in Australia, only debuting at #2 with 50 getting to #1 last week.
ALSO P!nk FINALLY left the top 10 after a record breaking 62 weeks.

Turn It Up - It is unrealistic to expect every one of Shannon's album to debut at No 1. and I do not think SONY/BMG will be disappointed. Lift was an exceptional album with a lot very commercial radio friendly tracks. TIU not so but it is such a grower. Every track sticks after a few listens. It is also more country sound oriented. Perhaps geared for the US country market.

ok i agree its unrealistic to expect it to debut at #1. However i know that SongBMG put alot of money into the promotion of this album and i think if it had been released on a different week (like this week) im sure it would have got to #1. I also agree with it being a grower. It does seem to have a county feel to it, however i find that Loud sort of doesn't go with the rest of the album? As i said before, i think Lift was Shannon at his best and i love that album heaps. I wasn't disappointed, more surprised. Heres hoping "Sorry Is Just To Late" will be a single.

I agree with what you said about Loud not going with the rest of the album. But the video was sexy as hell. Turned me on!! I also agree that if it had been released this week, it would be different. However they would not be concentrating on chart figures. Sales would be more critical. I did not like it that they had the full album for a listen before the release. Why not just snippets?

Glad you were not disappointed. I liked the fact that it was different. The album had to be different or have a different feel to it than Lift. He can't win. If he had a similar feel, he would be criticised too. You know how it is.
